Services - How It All Works

Step I: Initial Interview
This is our first meeting. I will leave a few documents with you that will need to be completed if you decide to retain my services. We will go over in detail, all the services listed above. There is no fee for this initial meeting.

Step II: Prenatal Visit
Upon your decision to retain my services, we will schedule this 2nd meeting, where I will want to meet your spouse/partner (if I haven’t already) and any children that will be present at the birth. I will go over your birth plan, your birth preferences, and we will review together the paperwork you completed since the interview. You will also receive a Birthing Packet (contents listed separately).

Step III: Video Viewing
I will view the below selected videos with you and your partner at your home. We will in discuss in detail the stages of labor and the process of birth. Videos to be viewed are:

Step IV: Attendance at Birth
Services include continuous professional labor assistance, as well as a 30 minute foot reflexology massage after the birth (at the birth location). This helps re-balance the body’s energy points and overall circulation, as well as relax the mother after labor and delivery.

Step V: Postpartum Visit: Foot Bath Reflexology Massage
This is offered to you, and included in the services provided. It entails a one hour foot reflexology massage, using a vibrating foot bath and Moldavite bath salts. I offer this bodywork session at a convenient date and time for you, once you have returned home (usually within the first two weeks). This massage helps realign the energy pressure points in the body after labor and delivery. As well, I am available at this time to help with breastfeeding or any other issues you may need help with.
