What is a Doula?
A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. At Sacred Mother Doula Co., I believe birth is sacred, and so are you. My care is holistic, heart led, and rooted in trust, education, and empowerment- beyond the system.
Do you attend hospital births, home births, birth center births, or free births?
Yes! I support births wherever you feel safest. Home, birth center, hospital, anywhere. My goal is to honor your space and choices, not influence them.
When should I book a doula?
As soon as you feel ready! Some book in their first trimester, others later. I recommend booking early to ensure availability and begin building a connection.
What’s included in your birth support package?
Each package includes prenatal visits, continuous labor support, and postpartum check ins. I also offer childbirth education, lactation guidance, and more. Each care plan is unique and personalized.
What if I only need support after birth?
I offer postpartum only support as well! Whether you need newborn care, breastfeeding help, or emotional support, I’ll walk alongside you during this sacred time.
What if my partner is unsure about hiring a doula?
Totally normal! I love helping partners feel confident and involved. Doulas don’t replace your partner, we support both of you, making sure you’re connected and empowered as a team.
Can you help with writing my birth plan?
Absolutely. I offer birth planning sessions where we walk through your preferences, explore your options, and build a plan that aligns with your values.
Do you offer virtual services?
Yes! Virtual support is available for consultations, birth planning, lactation support, and more. Great for those outside of the San Antonio area, or wanting flexible options.
Are payment plans available?
Absolutely. I offer flexible payment plans and a sliding scale option on a case-by-case basis, because I believe every family deserves support, and I do my best to meet families where they are.
Do you support all birth preferences?
Yes. Whether you’re planning a homebirth, medicated hospital birth, a cesarean, or something in between, your choices are sacred and I’m here to support you.
What happens if I go into labor early or late?
I’m on call for you around your estimated due date but remain very flexible for early or late arrivals. I’ll be ready when you are.
Do you offer support for NICU or high-risk pregnancies?
Yes. I’ve taken training to support NICU families and hold space for those navigating unexpected paths. You are not alone.
Can we meet before I commit to booking?
Yes! I offer a free consultation so we can get to know each other, talk through your goals, and see if we’re the right fit. I believe your doula should feel like a safe, grounded presence.
What’s your cancellation or refund policy?
I have a clear and fair cancellation policy to protect both of us. Details are shared during booking and in your intake forms, but if you ever have questions- just ask! I value open, honest communication.
